Quotes

"In PHAROAH'S ARMY, ITVS took a chance on an emerging filmmaker—a chance that really paid off. What interested me in this film was its take on a tragic episode in our history: an acrimonious war that split the country in two. Despite the bitterness of the situation, my character and Patricia Clarkson's character were able to view each other as people, if only for a brief respite before hostilities were resumed. Robbie Henson's intense, layered script was a delight to explore, as well as the opportunity to work with such a talented cast."

"ITVS is an indispensable partner in bringing work that challenges, provokes and expands into American living rooms and schools. And by working with NBPC to make sure that important films, from the classic BLACK IS… BLACK AIN'T to FLAG WARS to the upcoming BEYOND BEATS AND RHYMES reach their audiences, ITVS ensures that diversity on today's public television permeates all levels of the production process. We look forward to creating more great TV together."
—Jacquie Jones
Executive Director, National Black Programming Consortium

"The creation of ITVS cemented the importance of independent producers within the public television system. Over the years, P.O.V./American Documentary and ITVS have nurtured some of the most important documentaries on PBS, and the partnership continues to break new ground in bringing films to American audiences. We are proud to work with ITVS in support of the filmmaker's vision and the public's access to important stories."
—Cara Mertes
