Accolades

Andrew Kolker and Louis Alvarez's documentary PEOPLE LIKE US: Social Class in America (co-presentation with WETA) screened at the prestigious 2002 INPUT (INternational PUblic Television) conference, which was held in Rotterdam in May.
Gail Dolgin and Vicente Franco's documentary DAUGHTER FROM DANANG won the prestigious Documentary Grand Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival.
SENORITA EXTRAVIADA (Missing Young Woman) by Lourdes Portillo won a Documentary Special Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival.
PROMISES by Justine Shapiro, B. Z. Goldberg and Carlos Bolado was nominated for an Academy Award in the Documentary Feature category. A compelling take on the Middle East conflict from the perspectives of seven Palestinian and Israeli children, PROMISES premiered on P.O.V. in December.
Paul Fierlinger's STILL LIFE WITH ANIMATED DOGS was awarded the prestigious Peabody Award for broadcast excellence. The
animated project was lauded for "present[ing] a wonderful
meditation on human freedom."
