Opportunities For Documentary Producers

MediaRights.org

MediaRights.org is a not-for-profit community website that makes social-issue documentaries easy to find and use for media makers, activists, educators and librarians. Visitors to the site can find over 1,500 social-issue documentary videos (cataloged by issue) and can search a database of 640,000 activist organizations across the country. In addition, the site features an education component to help independent producers implement strategic, effective outreach campaigns based on their available budget.

Media makers, activists, educators and librarians are invited to join MediaRights.org:
  • If you are an activist you can be added to the Activist Database.

  • If you are a filmmaker you can add your social-issue film to the Documentary Database.

  • If you are a media maker who works with video, radio, print, photography or the Web you can list your services in the Media Makers Database.
In addition to these ongoing services, MediaRights.org sponsors an online film festival. For more information or to join, visit www.mediarights.org.
